Throughout the 2015 / 2016 fly fishing season the Australian Fly Fishing Team has hosted numerous fundraiser weekends to suit any level of fly fishing enthusiast. After the success of the Tasmanian corporate weekends the Australian Fly Fishing team are running a skills workshop and guided weekend in the NSW Snowy Mountains in May.
These fundraising weekends are to raise money for the Australian Fly Fishing team who are attending the World Fly Fishing Championships in September this year. Two of our Rainbow Lodge guides (Christopher and Tom) will be attending this years World Championships in Colorado. Please help support them both and the rest of the team in striving towards their fly fishing goals.
The fundraiser event which will be held in NSW from the 13th to the 15th of May. May is the peak time to chase Eucumbene’s trophy Brown Trout either on the river or the lake. For this weekend we will be offering, for those who would like to participate, a 3 hour European Nymphing workshop before they hit the river. The idea of this workshop is to share with our guests, technique’s learnt form the last five WFFC’s and will be hosted by fly fishing guide and team member, Christopher Bassano. It will comprise of a theory and practical component, designed to make sure that you catch more fish!
