Lake King William

For many years, this lake has produced large numbers of fish.

Compared to those lakes around Miena, the fish are a bit smaller but the numbers are extraordinary. For beginners and well seasoned anglers alike, this lake has many attractions. The scenery is amazing and the water very clear while the fish seem as eager as any trout in the state to eat a dry fly.

The lake has many features and fishers slightly differently depending on the height of the water. Tailing trout, midging fish, gum beetle and even mayfly feeders are all found here.

Rainbows are less common than the browns and due to its size, King William can be fished for days without repeating the same drift.

We are yet to experience a bad day on this lake.
