Tereza Rutova Workshop

We are delighted to announce that one of the world's best fly fishing women will be running a workshop in Tasmania in December.

Tereza Rutova is from the Czech Republic and is the first and only female to compete in the Czech “A” League which is the highest competition fly fishing league in the Czech Republic. She has won multiple medals at national and international events and has competed in over 200 competitions. She was a member (and the only female member) of the Czech Youth team that won the gold medal at the FIPSMOUCH Youth World Fly Fishing championships in 2012 (France).

The workshop will be a river fly fishing workshop and will involve a combination of theory and practical sessions to suit the individual needs, skills and requests of each member of the group. Tereza is a biologist and part of the workshop will involve learning more about river entomology and its relationship to fly selection and fly tying.

The workshop will run over two days and will be open to a maximum of 10 participants only. We are keeping the seminar numbers low so as that everyone gets a good opportunity for one on one practical fishing time with Tereza.

The workshop will be hosted by Christopher Bassano and will be held in Meander on one of the venues for the world fly fishing championships.

It will be a two day course that will run on the following dates:

Monday 16 December

Tuesday 17 December

The cost is $500 per person for the two day workshop.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from Tereza and find out how she has been so successful at the highest level in a sport traditionally dominated by men.
